Our outsoles give you many options
Outsole properties
New Feet designs our own outsoles. We use different materials depending on the task. We place great emphasis on two properties of our outsoles - they must be stable in the heel and flexible in the forefoot to varying degrees. We achieve these properties by embedding a stabilisator (shank/gelenk) in the back of the sole. The flexibility of the forefoot depends on the design and material of the outsole.
The shape of the outsoles must match the last on which the shoe is built.
Walking function
In the orthopaedic world, it is often necessary to facilitate an easy walking function (rocker sole). This is done by adding a walking function to the footwear - by rounding the heel and front part. At New Feet, we operate with 3 graduations of rocker function:
Light rocker function
With the following outsoles (Lasts: 9, 11, 34, 35, 45, 47, 53, 62, 71, 75, 77, 78)
Medium rocker function
With the following outsoles (Lasts: 2, 4, 10, 12, 17, 43, 49, 66, 68, 72, 74)
Hard rocker function
With the following outsoles (Last: 1, 3, 4)
